Works of value move differently.

NOOR L’Atelier advises on, trades in and moves fine art, antiques and artefacts — from the first condition survey to the moment a piece is on the wall. Fine art is the centre of the practice; every other licensed activity exists to serve it.

02 · The practice

A single point of responsibility for objects that cannot be replaced.

Most art projects fail in the gaps: between the seller and the shipper, the shipper and the customs broker, the broker and the installer. Every handover is a chance for something irreversible to happen.

NOOR L’Atelier holds the whole chain. Advisory, acquisition, packing, freight, clearance and installation are managed under one contract, with one set of documents and one person answering the phone. The firm is built on decades of the founding team’s hands-on experience in UAE trade, logistics and business consultancy, now concentrated entirely on fine art.

The company is licensed in the United Arab Emirates and works across the GCC, with correspondent handlers in Europe and Asia. Insurance can be arranged on request for any shipment.

07 · Questions we’re asked often

Before you write to us.

Do you only handle fine art, or also antiques and general artefacts?+
All three, under the same licence and the same handling standard. Paintings, sculpture, antiques and artefacts are surveyed, packed and moved with the same condition-reporting discipline — the crate and route are specified to the object, not to a category.
Can you manage a shipment that starts or ends outside the UAE?+
Yes. The firm is licensed in the United Arab Emirates and works across the GCC, with correspondent handlers in Europe and Asia selected per route. Where a corridor is new to us, we say so up front and price a dedicated survey rather than estimate blind.
Is insurance included, or arranged separately?+
Insurance is never assumed or buried in a total. It can be arranged on request for any shipment or engagement, matched to the declared value of the work, and it always appears as its own line item alongside freight.
What do you need from us to give a first quotation?+
What the object is, its approximate dimensions and weight, where it is now, where it needs to go, and by when. That is enough for a written scope and a fixed quotation; anything that cannot be fixed at that stage — duties, extended storage — is named as a variable before you sign.
Do you work directly with private collectors, or only institutions?+
Both. Museums and government bodies sit alongside private collectors, corporate collections, hospitality groups, developers and galleries on the client list. The engagement is scoped to what each one actually needs, not a single standard package.
How long does a typical engagement take?+
It depends on the object, the route and the receiving space — a local installation and an international museum loan are not the same project. We confirm a realistic timeline in writing at the brief stage, before any cost is agreed.

Send the piece, the origin, the destination and the date. We come back with a written scope and a fixed quotation.
